Emilie Benyowitz is a junior at Shalhevet High School, is currently photo editor of the Boiling Point where she has been on staff since freshman year. Emilie has received four awards for her photojournalism; a national Quill and Scroll award for her photo of the Shalhevet Choir singing at the Holocaust Museum; an Honorable Mention in the NSPA’s National 2011 Story of the Year contest on her photos of the Rabbi Richler protest; third prize in the Los Angeles Jewish Federation’s “The Future is Now” art contest; and a trip to Washington, D.C. for a photo entered in the Anti Defamation League’s National Youth Leadership Mission competition.
